Smile Makeovers
A damaged or altered smile can take a toll on a person’s confidence. At daily DENTAL & bracesbar, we’ve had more patients visit us asking for a smile makeover. This is something we encourage. People used to worry that asking for a smile makeover made them naïve. Fortunately, this misconception is slowly becoming a thing of the past.
At daily DENTAL & bracesbar, we have a team of dentists that are experts at smile makeovers. Patients think that a smile makeover is the name of the procedure. A smile makeover is a broad term that encompasses many separate procedures like teeth whitening, veneers, dental bonding, implants, and more. The procedures we use for each patient depends on the problem with their smile.
Teeth Whitening, Veneers, and Bonding
When a person has stained teeth, we can usually remove stains and brighten them using teeth whitening. Teeth whitening relies on bleach to break up stains without damaging the natural tooth. Not everyone who undergoes teeth whitening achieves satisfying results though. In these cases, we might need to apply veneers.
Veneers are thin shells that cover the front surfaces of teeth. You can get veneers over as many teeth as you want. Most of our patients choose to get them over the teeth that show when they smile. Veneers are effective at covering up dark teeth, as well as crooked or broken ones too.
Dental bonding is the use of composite resin to repair teeth. If a tooth is cracked, chipped, or broken, the missing part can be replaced with resin. Naturally, the part replaced with resin won’t be as strong as natural teeth, so you should watch what you eat and chew.
Implants
A missing tooth can affect the smile if it’s in the front of the mouth. A missing hind tooth can also lead to wider gaps between teeth. Implants are the newest method of replacing missing teeth. They’re also extremely durable and last for decades. Most people never have to worry about replacing their implants.
